Defendant No. 1 was arrested by the police from his sister’s house in Kanighat Upazila on 7/3/17. 8/3/17 On this date many online media and newspapers published news. Sylhet District and Metropolitan BNP strongly condemned the police arrest of Ahmed Al Shasud Shaheen.

In the statement of case it is mentioned in brief, that defendants Nos. 1-4 in the complaint are cousins and defendant No. 5 is my cousin. Defendants No. 1-4 I have been living in the same house, defendant Ahmad Al Masood Shaheen has been fighting with us for a long time over our homesteadOn 20/1/2017 at 2.00 pm, the defendant Ahmad Khan Masood Shaheen, with an ax in his hand, cut the various types of trees planted by us with the intention of encroaching on our homestead. At that time when my father Azad Uddin stopped defendant Ahmad Al Mamun Shaheen in sight, defendant Ahmad Al Masood Shaheen publicly threatened him with an ax in his hand. Ahmed Al Masud saved my father from Shaheen because of the presence of people around. My father in desperation lodged a police complaint against the defendant Ahmad Al Masood Shaheen, whose Kanighat Thanar General Diary No-590, and the case was recorded on 22/1/2017. Due to my father Azad Uddin filing a complaint against the defendant Ahmed Al Mamun Shaheen, today 2/2/2017 at 10 am. At 00:00 the defendant Ahmad Al Masud came to the courtyard of our residence and abused my father by name. Now when my father came out of the house and asked the reason for the abuse, the defendant then asked to bring Da from the house. Then accused No. 3 Sultan Ahmad Mujib took Ramada from the house of accused No. 1Defendant Ahmad Al Masood Shaheen got excited and hit a well on the head of Kamal Uddin’s father- Azad Uddin, due to the well, the plaintiff’s father Azad Uddin immediately fell on the ground. Then accused No. 1 along with other accused to ensure the death of my father, hit me several times with Ramada in their hand and weapons in the hand of other accused and another well fell on my father’s car and another well fell under the left shoulder causing serious bloody injury and my father died instantly on the spot. do Plaintiff Kamal Uddin immediately called the Kanighat police station and reported the matter. Immediately, Kanighat Thana police came to the spot, and recovered the remains of defendant No. 1 and other defendantsThe defendant believes his father was killed in a premeditated manner.
